Even though metal is generally hard wearing it will wear with age, rings worn next to each other will rub and wear down over time but handled with care your jewellery should last a long time. Sterling silver does tarnish with time and wear. To take care of your jewellery polish it frequently with a soft dry cloth to avoid tarnish. We recommend using a specially impregnated silver polishing cloth to ensure that your jewellery retains its shine. Matt items will over time return to being shiny. To bring sparkle back to gemstones use warm water, washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush. Soak and brush the inside back of setting and rinse.
Avoid contact with chemicals, perfume, hairspray and deodorant. We recommend protecting jewellery by wrapping it and storing it in a cool, dry place keeping individual pieces separate to avoid scratching.
Ring sizing is tricky, so we would always recommend going to a high street jeweller to get your finger sized properly. Most high street jewellers will also offer this service for free.
The following should also be considered when getting your finger sized.
- Your size may vary by up to a size from summer to winter.
- For wide rings you may need to go up one or two sizes.
Please ensure that when getting your finger sized that you get it sized with the appropriate sizer relevant to the ring you are wanting to purchase. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you any help with sizing.
